When to make a phone call to a potential partner

NOTE: For scheduled calls via Google Meet, look under the "Appointment Scheduled" column.


  • All potential partners will have a new deal automatically created for them
  • Each deal will move through the pipeline automatically based on contact's interaction with the email campaign
  • Call a potential partner ONLY if the associated deal has already moved to the following statuses:
    • For Cold Call stage
  • Follow this guide on making a call.
    • If you haven't enabled the calling feature on HubSpot, follow this guide
  • Don't forget to set up the partner status again following this guide
  • When a partner's status has been set a series of actions get activated
    • For Outreach, Potential Partner - this is auto-set.
    • Partner - set to this if the contact agreed to the partnership (this should be done during or after a call)
    • Not a Partner - set to this if the contact expressly mentioned that they do not want to be a partner
    • Undecided - set to this if the contact wants to have another conversation (whether via a call or email) much later
    • Inactive Partner - an existing partner will automatically get set to this if they don't send referrals for some time
    • Do Not Contact - a contact who got enrolled into the email campaign will automatically get changed to this if they unsubscribe, mark our email as spam, or bounce.
